Welcome to the UC Santa Barbara Campus Climate Study Site
UC Santa Barbara will be participating in the University of California’s 1st system-wide Campus Climate Survey starting January 3, 2013. In recent years campuses across the UC system (and across the nation) have experienced numerous instances of racist, sexist, homophobic and other expressions of intolerance that are unacceptable, and which go against our system of values and beliefs. As a university community, we are committed to addressing these issues and creating healthy living, learning and working environments for members of the UC Santa Barbara community.
On our campus, Chancellor Henry Yang convened a Local Work Team (LWT) to oversee UC Santa Barbara’s implementation of this important survey, which we entitled "Answer the CALL (Campus Atmosphere for Living & Learning)!" Your LWT members include undergraduate and graduate students, staff and faculty. You can review the LWT membership here.
The purpose of the survey is to collect and assess a wide range of data on the institutional climate, issues of inclusion, work-life balance, and general attitudes regarding the living, learning and working environments at the University of California. So, Answer the CALL! Let your voice be heard as new policies and procedures will be developed from this survey data to improve the campus climate at UC Santa Barbara specifically, and throughout the entire University of California system.
Be sure to check your UCSB email for your survey invitation, starting January 3, 2013. (Remember to check your spam folder, as well!) We are hoping for 100% participation, so please Answer the CALL!
